Battlefield Bad Company 2 is a first-person shooter action game developed by EA Dice and Coldwood Interactive, published by Electronic Arts. The game is a sequel to the Battlefield: Bad Company, a sub-series within EA’s Battlefield franchise. The game features a single-player campaign and a multiplayer mode, where the participants can face each other in different types of matches. B: BC2 received a positive reception from the critics, who praised the titles intense multiplayer gameplay and solid scenario of the campaign mode. Gameplay Battlefield: Bad Company 2’s gameplay mechanics remain the same as with the other installments of the “modern” chapter of the series. The player controls a Special Ops soldier, fighting either NPCs in a single-player campaign or live players in the multiplayer mode. The game features a plethora of modern weapons the player can use, including assault rifles, heavy machine guns, different types of grenades, etc. The game also allows the player to control various land and aerial vehicles: armored trucks, helicopters, and more. The multiplayer mode of Bad Company 2 offers the player plenty of interesting match types, including the classic team deathmatch, Onslaught, in which the players are tasked with advancing through and capturing points on the map, and Conquest, based around the classic capture-the-flag rules. Story Summary The boys from “B” Company are back and this time their enemy could turn out to be Mother Nature herself. When the plans for legendary scalar weapon fall into the hands of Russian extremists, the company has no other choice but to stop them from launching the deadly weapons on civilian targets. Their job will take them from the hot streets of Bolivia to the snowy peaks of the Andes. But no matter how difficult the task is, the “B” Company will see it done. Reception Battlefield: Bad Company 2 was met with a positive critical reception. As with other installments of the Battlefield franchise, the most praised feature was the multiplayer mode, for its exciting action, and plenty of match types to satisfy even the pickiest of players. The story campaign was noted as being serviceable enough to keep the player engaged before they decided to dive head-first into the multiplayer. Key features The “B” Company is back in action.
